A collection of original textile artworks inspired by Japanese fabrics, hand stitching and the curious spirit of cats.

Every cat in this collection begins life as an original hand-stitched textile artwork. Inspired by Japanese textiles, treasured fabrics and the stories they carry, each piece is carefully created using layers of cloth, sashiko stitching and embroidery before being reproduced on beautifully made everyday items. Some fabrics have travelled from Japan. Others have lived previous lives in my own collection or belonged to members of my family. Together they become curious cats, each with its own personality and story to tell.

I hope they make you smile as much as they made me smile while I was stitching them.
