The Dream
A dream unfolds, step by step, in layers of fabric, paper and found treasures.
A vintage book cover, fabric flowers, hand-painted paper, vintage beads and buttons, sari silk, gold ribbon and tiny washi-tape houses come together with a cast of wonderfully quirky characters. Look closely and you’ll find a map of our own region beneath it all.
The piece began to take shape after the floods of 2022, when so much of our town was lost. Perhaps it was a way of imagining forward — putting things back together, piece by piece, and thinking about what might come next.
Everything is hand stitched and collaged onto a stretched canvas and professionally framed at Lismore Art and Framing.
